Description

Superb family house (with Wi-Fi) with 5 bedrooms plus an optional granny annexe. Weekly prices £600 - £1200 for up to 10 people (or £700 - £1300 if you need the addition of the granny annexe).

“PENNY BLACK” sleeps up to 10-12 in five/six bedrooms, 12 if you request extra beds or extra mattresses on the floor.

Annexe downstairs with Kingsize sofa-bed + ensuite shower and WC. Independent kitchen area and dining table.

WINTER BREAKS: In the winter we offer weekends Friday to Monday and mid-week breaks Monday to Friday with the fourth night FREE.
WEEKLY changeover day is FRIDAY in the summer, but it can be either Friday or Monday in the winter.

The offer of extra beds may tempt you to cram additional guests, but you must bear in mind that the sitting room and dining facilities have their limits, so you bring extra people at your own discretion - we will not accept blame if you make yourselves uncomfortable!

To the front of the house is a large tarmac parking area which sets the house well back from the village road. To the side and rear of the house there is additional parking for cars and even space for a boat. The garden extends to about 0.3 acre, there is a fish pond, wendy house, and at the far end a pair of double gates open to steps leading down to the Allen River (young children MUST be supervised). Originally the house was the village Post Office hence the name "Penny Black".

Located in the small village of Damerham, 3.5 miles west of Fordingbridge, with The Compasses Inn public house an easy level walk away. Family pub with good meals and a large beer garden.
