Ice Skating at the BIC back for Christmas

Ice Skating at the BICThe Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) has reported that this summer was another huge success for its highly popular indoor ice rink. Nearly 15,000 visitors got their skates on and took to the ice during the five weeks in July and August that the rink was open.

The rink, which has operated during the Summer and Christmas season for the past four years, provides Bournemouth with a much needed wet weather facility, and is an inexpensive activity that families can enjoy together during holiday periods.

"The ice rink is proving as popular as ever," commented the BIC's Entertainment & Events Manager Steve Turner. "We offer a safe, indoor rink in a town centre location, and it’s open for business whatever the weather. The ice rink will be back at the BIC again in December, and we are planning on making it better than ever."

Skating sessions at the rink were regularly sold out over the summer, as the below-par summer saw crowds flocking to the BIC.
